Updated: Nov 14, 2018

China UK Development Centre received a delegation from Beijing Wuzi University on 21st October this year. It was our pleasure to welcome and host Professor Mingke He, the Vice President, Professor Guochen Wei, the Dean of Business School, and Professor Guangshu Xu, the Standing Vice Dean of Graduate School of Beijing Wuzi University during their visit to Cambridge and Newcastle. The main purpose of this visit was to explore partnerships and collaboration opportunities between Beijing Wuzi University and our partner universities.

The delegation met with Professor David Ibbetson, the President of Clare Hall, Dr Marie Janson, the Development Director of Clare Hall, Dr. Ruigang Michael Zhou, Head of Operations and Partnerships of CUDC, and discussed collaboration in education programmes and visiting fellowships. A Memorandum of Understanding was successfully signed at the meeting to kick off this exciting partnership between the two institutions.

CUDC also arranged a meeting with Newcastle Business School of the Northumbria University to explore collaboration between Beijing Wuzi University and Northumbria University. CUDC representatives and the delegation had a fruitful meeting with Professor John F Wilson, the Faculty Pro Vice-Chancellor of Business and Law and Dr Jacqueline Holland, the Singapore & Malaysia Partnership Coordinator to discuss potential partnerships in jointed education programmes and visiting fellowships. Both parties were highly interested in collaborations in many academic and research areas, thus a MoU between the two universities was arranged. After the meeting, the delegation was invited to visit the business school, the Northumbria school campus and its many state-of-the-art facilities.
